From watching how things work to building them. I’m Stanley Mehale, and I’ve been designing websites for businesses of every size since 2019, from Kempton Park, for clients across South Africa.
About Stan
As a kid I watched a lot of movies, and what held my attention was never really the story. It was the technology on the screen and the question of how any of it was made. How the visuals were built, how systems talked to each other, how an entire world could exist behind a piece of glass. That curiosity never left.
It pushed me into IT. Then in 2019 I came across website design through a YouTube video, and that was the moment everything clicked. I taught myself WordPress, built badly at first, kept going, and registered the business in May of that year. Seven years later I am still learning, and still doing it.
Hosting came later, and it came from a YouTube series. I sat in my room with a cup of coffee working through it, and by the end of it I understood why handing a client to a faceless hosting company was the weakest part of the job. If I built the site, I should be the one keeping it up. Every site I build now can stay with me.
Today Stan Design Sites handles professional WordPress website design, logo and brand work, search engine optimisation, hosting and social media. I have worked with guesthouses, contractors, health practices, creative agencies and trade suppliers, helping them turn a quiet web presence into something that brings in visibility, credibility and actual enquiries.
The mission has not changed since day one. A business is judged on what a customer can see long before anyone picks up the phone, and online that is your website. A proper one lets you stand next to anybody in your industry and win the work on merit. I build for two-person operations and for established companies with staff, branches and a reputation to protect, and the standard is the same either way.
Talk through your website in the language you think in
Explaining what your business does is easier in your home language, and so is understanding what a website needs. I work with clients in five languages, so nothing gets lost between what you mean and what ends up on the page.
Your website itself can be written in English for search and reach, with key pages or messages in the language your customers speak, if that suits your market.

From a YouTube video to 100+ websites

It started with a video
I came across website design on YouTube, taught myself WordPress, and registered Stan Design Sites in May of that year.
- 2019
First paying client
Optimal Training Academy, a construction education, training and consulting company in Midrand. The first website someone paid me to build.

Hosting came in
After watching a hosting series on YouTube, I started hosting client sites myself rather than handing people to a company that would never answer them.

I counted the work and realised I had built over a hundred sites for businesses around Gauteng and across South Africa.

You approve a price and a page list before anything starts. The number does not move unless you ask for something new.
Plain language
Your pages get written the way you would explain the business to a customer standing in front of you, not in marketing filler.
You own everything
Your domain, your content, your Google accounts. I host and maintain it, but nothing is ever held hostage.
